NEW DELHI: Undeterred by the fact that its proposal to extend quota to OBC students had raised much heat and dust and landed up in the Supreme Court, the government is considering providing 33% reservation to girl students in technical education institutions. This would mean girl students will get reservation in institutions like the Indian Institutes of Management (IIM), Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and National Institutes of Technology (NITs).
While replying to a question in the Rajya Sabha on the recommendation by a working group to introduce 33% reservation for girl students, the minister of state for HRD D Purandeswari said “a final view has not been taken on it”। The working group on ‘Development of Education of SC/Minorities/ Girls and other Disadvantaged groups’ had said that “a reservation of not less than 33% should be made for girls in all technical and higher educational institutions, in their respective categories”.

22.5% SC-ST, 27% OBC, 33% girls == 82.5%
Remaining 17.5% out of which PH and other seats will be filled.
Good
Aaj fir wahi waqt
laut mujhe sata raha hai
woh patli si sadak
woh tuta sa balla
wahi icecream wala chillaa raha hai
woh sardi ki dhoop
woh garmi ki shaamien
wahi kahi kirmich ki ball
le mera hi ek aks
mujhe wapas bula raha hai
woh ATB cycle
wahi garam bund tikki
woh thoda sa homework
woh mowgli woh radha
wahi school ka ground
aaj fir us football pe ek kick
marne ko mann lalcha raha hai
lamhe hai bas
yaadein hai kuch
aaj fir apni beete bachpan ko yaad kar
koi yuh hi bas jiye jaa raha hai
